Sustainable Building- Treehouse Getaway

During Week 4 we...             -  Finalized our treehouse floorplan             - Starting creating online drawings for our floor plan in AutoCAD (2D) and Google SketchUp (3D)             - Made a spreadsheet for our envelope to start doing calculations             - Started a list of materials for walls, floors, roof, windows, and doors             - Started planning the solar array

During Week 3...            -  We created our treehouse floor plan            -  We began to assess the building envelope            -  We started calculations on heat loss and air exchange rate             - We learned about the envelope and started some research into insulations

During Week 2...             -  We received significant feedback on the first draft of our proposal             - We successfully completed the proposal            - We assigned tasks to each of the group members                   -  We reviewed each task in depth and revisited our schedule to create a timely plan             - We started to review some basic calculations             - We finalized a location for our house, near Glen Okono Park in Jim Thorpe, PA

During Week 1...            -  We have our proposal rough draft completed            -  We have a detailed outline of what it is we are planning on doing - Discussed in the proposal                  -  We have picked a location for our tree house - Ideally in the forests within the Poconos (Northern Pennsylvania), specifically near the town of Jim Thorpe next to the Lehigh River                    -  We are going to research methods for generating energy from the river's current            -  We have created our timeline                  -  Each group member has been assigned tasks and the task schedule is broken down            -  We have researched various methods for our energy generati...
